Carnatic Music Tools brings the things you reach for in daily practice into one app, built around Carnatic conventions rather than Western ones โ talas with angas and jatis, a tanpura tuned by kattai, swaras with their variants, and ragas by their arohana and avarohana.
The Tools
Metronome
All seven sapta talas with jati and gati control, plus plain time signatures. Keeps playing in the background with sample-accurate timing.
Tanpura
A four-string PaยทSaยทSaยทแนขa drone in any pitch (kattai) and octave, with Pa or Ma jod tuning. Plays alone or under the metronome, in the background too.
Tuner
Names the swara and shows how many cents off you are, with a pitch history graph and a guide line for every swara in the scale.
Raga Trainer
Hear an exercise, sing it back in tala, and get scored on pitch and timing โ across all 72 melakartas and common janya ragas.
Settings
Set your Sa by note or kattai number once, and every tool follows it.
