Cuisina ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use Cuisina, why it is collected, and how it is used.

By using Cuisina you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information we do NOT collect

Cuisina does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Your location
• Your photos or camera access
• Your contacts
• Any health or fitness data

No account or login is required to use Cuisina. Your preferences (meal type, theme, language, favourites) are stored only on your device using iOS UserDefaults and are never sent to our servers.

Information collected by third-party services

Cuisina displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following to serve personalised advertisements:

• Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — only with your consent via the on-launch consent dialog
• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Device type, OS version, and app version
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. You will be asked for consent on first launch. You can change your ad personalisation preference at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How We Use Information

We use network requests solely to:

• Fetch cuisine and meal plan data from our API server
• Load recipe images
• Retrieve UI language translations

These requests do not include any personal identifiers. No usage analytics or crash reporting SDKs are embedded in Cuisina beyond what AdMob provides.

Children's Privacy

Cuisina is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because Cuisina requires no account and collects no personal data itself, it is safe for use by children.

Ad personalisation based on IDFA requires explicit user consent and will not be enabled for users who decline the consent prompt.

Data Retention & Deletion

All user preferences are stored on-device only. To delete all Cuisina data, simply uninstall the app from your device.

For data collected by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's privacy policy and their data deletion tools.

Third-Party Links

Cuisina may display content that links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
